ULTRASUN Manifold System
A manifold solar water heater system is a type of solar water heating system that uses a manifold to collect and distribute heat from the sun to heat water for domestic or industrial purposes. This system is also known as a “solar collector manifold system.”
Manifold System working procedure:
- Solar Collectors: The system consists of solar collectors, which are typically flat-plate collectors or evacuated tube collectors. These collectors are installed on rooftops or other suitable locations where they can receive direct sunlight.
- Manifold: The manifold is a network of pipes or tubes that connect the individual solar collectors. It acts as a central distribution point for the heated fluid (usually a heat transfer fluid like antifreeze) that circulates through the collectors and absorbs heat from the sun.
- Heat Absorption: When sunlight strikes the surface of the solar collectors, it heats up the fluid circulating within them. The collector’s design and materials are optimized for efficient heat absorption.
- Heat Transfer: As the fluid absorbs heat from the collectors, it becomes hot and is then pumped through the manifold. The manifold, in turn, distributes the hot fluid to a heat exchanger or directly to the water storage tank.
- Heat Exchange: In some manifold solar water heater systems,the hot fluid passes through a heat exchanger inside the water storage tank. This heat exchanger transfers the heat from the fluid to the water in the tank, heating it. In other systems, the hot fluid may directly flow through the tank, heating the water inside.
- Hot Water Storage: The hot water produced by the system is stored in a well-insulated storage tank. This tank can be used as the primary source of hot water for various domestic or industrial applications.
- Circulation: A pump is used to circulate the heat transfer fluid through the collectors and the manifold. This circulation ensures that the fluid continuously absorbs heat from the collectors and transfers it to the storage tank.
