Key Responsibilities
-
- Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot water supply, drainage, sanitary, and plumbing systems.

- Install and connect pipes, valves, fittings, faucets, fixtures, pumps, tanks, water heaters, and other plumbing equipment.
-
- Read and interpret plumbing drawings, layouts, schematics, and technical specifications.
-
- Carry out plumbing installation work according to approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.

- Inspect plumbing systems to identify leaks, blockages, pressure problems, damaged pipes, faulty valves, and other defects.
-
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of plumbing systems and equipment.

- Diagnose plumbing faults and carry out necessary repairs or replacement of defective components.

- Install and maintain drainage and wastewater systems, including floor drains, sanitary fixtures, inspection chambers, and related components.

- Install and maintain water pumps, storage tanks, water supply systems, and associated piping where required.

- Conduct pressure testing, leakage testing, and other necessary tests to ensure proper system performance.

- Ensure proper pipe alignment, jointing, sealing, insulation, and installation quality.

- Perform repair and maintenance work for toilets, washrooms, kitchens, water lines, drainage systems, and other plumbing facilities.

- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, electricians, contractors, and other technicians to ensure smooth execution of project and maintenance activities.

- Identify required pipes, fittings, tools, spare parts, and materials and report requirements to the supervisor.

- Maintain proper records of plumbing installations, maintenance activities, repairs, materials used, and work completed.

- Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies and minimize disruption caused by leaks, blockages, or system failures.

- Ensure plumbing work complies with safety procedures, project specifications, building requirements, and company policies.

- Maintain plumbing tools and equipment in good working condition.

- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe during and after completion of work.

- Report major defects, technical issues, material requirements, and safety concerns to the supervisor or Project Manager.

- Perform other plumbing-related duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements

- Technical/Trade Certificate, Overseer, Diploma, or relevant vocational qualification in Plumbing Preferred .Candidates who are currently pursuing the relevant degree and have relevant work experience may also be considered.

- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience as a Plumbing Technician, Plumber, or in a similar position.

- Practical knowledge of water supply, drainage, sanitary, and piping systems.
-
- Ability to read and understand plumbing drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.

- Knowledge of different types of pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, pumps, and plumbing tools.
-
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot leaks, blockages, pressure issues, and other plumbing problems.
-
- Knowledge of plumbing installation, maintenance, repair, and testing procedures.

- Good understanding of workplace and plumbing health and safety practices.

- Strong practical and problem-solving skills.

- Good attention to detail and workmanship.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.

- Good communication and coordination skills.

- Physically fit and comfortable working at project sites, buildings, rooftops, confined areas, and other assigned locations.

- Willingness to travel to different project sites when required.

- Two-wheeler with a valid driving license will be an added advantage.
